2. Scope
This policy covers personal data we collect through this website, through enquiries and correspondence, and in the course of providing services to our clients. Our handling of data held inside client Amazon selling accounts is described in more detail on our Data and security page.
3. What we collect
- Enquiry and contact data. Your name, business name, email address, telephone number and anything else you choose to include when you contact us.
- Client relationship data. Names, business contact details and roles of the people we work with at client organisations, plus correspondence and meeting records.
- Business and account data. Information about a client's Amazon account, catalog, sales, advertising, costs and inventory, provided to us or accessed with permission in order to deliver the services.
- Supplier and applicant data. Contact and payment details of suppliers, and application materials from people applying to work with us.
- Technical data. Standard server request information generated when you visit this site, such as IP address, browser type and the page requested. This site does not set advertising or tracking cookies.
We do not collect the personal information of Amazon shoppers. Our services do not require it, and we do not export it from Amazon systems.
4. Why we use it and on what basis
- To respond to enquiries and provide proposals. Basis: steps taken at your request before entering a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries.
- To deliver services under a client agreement. Basis: performance of a contract, and legitimate interests in operating our business.
- To administer our business. Invoicing, accounting, record-keeping and security. Basis: legal obligation and legitimate interests.
- To keep this website available and secure. Basis: legitimate interests.
We do not use your personal data for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects, and we do not sell personal data.
5. Cookies
This website does not use advertising cookies, analytics cookies or third-party tracking. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to Google's servers to retrieve them; Google may log that request in accordance with its own policies. No other third-party resources are loaded.
6. Who we share it with
We share personal data only with:
- Service providers who help us run our business, such as hosting, email, document storage, accounting and password management, each under a written agreement restricting their use of the data;
- Professional advisers, such as accountants and lawyers, where necessary;
- Authorities, where we are legally required to disclose.
We do not share one client's data with another client, and we do not provide personal data to data brokers or advertising networks.
7. International transfers
We are based in India, and information we hold is processed there. Where we handle personal data originating in another country on behalf of a client, we do so under the terms of that client's agreement and put an appropriate safeguard in place where one is required.
8. How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not become clients: up to 24 months.
- Client relationship records: for the duration of the engagement and then as required for legal and accounting purposes.
- Client working data: deleted after the final handover, other than records we are legally required to retain, and sooner if you ask.
- Financial records: for the period required by applicable tax law.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you are, you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its processing, to receive it in a portable format, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. To exercise any of these, email utsav@brandhamlet.com. We will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please raise it with us first at utsav@brandhamlet.com. You may also complain to the data protection authority in your jurisdiction.
10. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect the information we hold, including access controls on the systems we use, two-step verification on accounts that support it, and confidentiality obligations on anyone who works with us. 11. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of the page. Where a change materially affects how we handle client data, we will notify affected clients directly.
